Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach (APILO) is a community-based, social justice organization serving immigrant and other underserved communities of the greater Bay Area. Founded in 1975, APILO’s mission is to promote holistic, and culturally and linguistically appropriate services for the most marginalized segments of the community. APILO’s work is currently focused on the areas of domestic violence, violence against women, immigration and immigrant rights, senior law and elder abuse, human trafficking, public benefits, housing, disability rights, and other social justice issues. APILO provides legal, social, and educational services.

APILO provides technical assistance, training upon request, and presentations on the following trafficking-related topics: 
• Multidisciplinary team case management and service provision models for trafficking survivors 
• Best practices in trafficking representation and service provision 
• Collaboration between community- based organizations, non-government organizations, and law enforcement agencies 
• Understanding the immigration, criminal, civil, and legal relief available to trafficking survivors 
• How to identify victims of human trafficking 
• How to serve victims of human trafficking in culturally competent ways 
• Intersections of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual assault, and best practices for services for intersectional cases
• Other trafficking-related topics upon request
