San Francisco, CA 94102 The Department on the Status of Women aims to ensure the equitable treatment and foster the advancement of women and girls throughout San Francisco through policies, legislation, and programs, both within City and County government and in the private sector, that focus on populations in need.
Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Department supports the coordination of Citywide strategies to prevent and intervene in human trafficking, including the funding of community-based prevention, intervention, and education services, and by staffing the Mayor’s Task Force on Anti-Human Trafficking. The Department is a founding member and provides staffing for certain initiatives of the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking.
