Since 2007, MISSSEY (Motivating, Inspiring, Supporting and Serving Sexually Exploited Youth) has devoted its energy to the heartbreaking epidemic of sexual exploitation by supporting and advocating for youth who have been commercially sexually exploited. We are a survivor informed organization that is confronting human trafficking in Oakland, in Alameda County, and throughout California. At MISSSEY, we work to prevent girls and gender-expansive youth from ever entering circumstances of sexual exploitation and violence. We also support young people who are experiencing exploitation to exit. Once they’ve exited, we also partner with youth so that they may avoid re-entering sexually exploitative circumstances and live free of harmful transactional relationships.

Girls, 17 and younger, gender expansive/nonbinary youth
Women, 18 and older
